Today the change to the microlight definition becomes UK law after several years of discussion, negotiation and plain hard work.
The process has been very complex with much to consider including looking for potential unintended consequences of what on the face of it appears to be pretty straight forward. To give some further explanation and background the CAA has released a "How we got here" document which you can read from this link.
We will shortly be updating our FAQs on how it could benefit our members with both new and existing aircraft. We will let you know when it is published.
