In response to member feedback we've created a few one day courses to allow time to really develop skills in a small group. Each is delivered by experts in their field in small groups of 10-12 to allow maximum participation. Hands on course switching between classroom and the hangar to learn more about the 912. We’ll start with maintenance requirements, then move to the hangar and work through a pre-flight and what to look for. Then on to how to deal with in flight issues and finally a live walk through of a 100 hour service to include live demo of oil change and carb balancing on a real microlight. Improving your understanding your Rotax will undoubtedly help you operate the engine more efficiently and most importantly improve your safety. We ran this course on 8th September at Popham and received average feedback of 5 out of 5, with comments such as "seeing it all in 3D helped make it all make sense" The group really enjoyed the day and left more confident in checking and maintaining their own Rotax engines.
SkyDemon is a remarkable tool that many of us rely on and which has undoubtedly enhanced pilot safety. However it has grown into a powerful and at times complex tool with functionality that many pilots are not aware of or use. On this course we won't share the features from a product designer perspective that you could just get from youtube, but instead we'll take on imaginary journeys using SkyDemon as your assistant. We'll set up SkyDemon for you and your aircraft then go on to plan routes as we do as Instructors incorporating Met, NOTAMS, Zones. We'll then go on to fly these routes and handle diversions and emergencies. More than just SkyDemon training, we'll help with your flight planning and in flight workload as well as how do you integrate SkyDemon with other tools and techniques. You'll leave more confident to fly further.
