In response to member feedback we've created a series of one day and also online evening courses to help build skills and knowledge and in turn improve safety. Each course will be for small groups to allow interaction and discussion and will be run by Microlight Instructors so will be practical more than theoretical.

Hands on One Day Course switching between classroom and the hangar to learn more about the 912. We’ll start with maintenance requirements, then move to the hangar and work through a pre-flight and what to look for. Then on to how to deal with in flight issues and finally a live walk through of a 100 hour service to include live demo of oil change and carb balancing on a real microlight. Improving your understanding your Rotax will undoubtedly help you operate the engine more efficiently and most importantly improve your safety. We ran this course on 8th September at Popham and received average feedback of 5 out of 5, with comments such as "seeing it all in 3D helped make it all make sense" The group really enjoyed the day and left more confident in checking and maintaining their own Rotax engines.
