BMAA Governance

The BMAA is run as a not-for-profit limited company. The Board of Directors are elected by the membership and form the governing Council.

Elections. Each year some members of the Council may be required to stand for re-election, or they may choose not to continue as a BMAA Director. BMAA members may stand for a place on the Council and if there are more nominations than places an election is held. Nominations must be made on a BMAA nomination form in the manner prescribed. You can download the form below.

Meetings. The Council meets six times a year and the minutes of the meeting are available to BMAA members. If you are a member you will be able to view the minutes by following the link below. (You must be logged on to this site to be able to view these documents.)

The BMAA holds an Annual General Meeting (AGM) each year. If you are a member you will be able to view the minutes of the AGM by following the link below. (You must be logged on to this site to be able to view these documents.)

Personal Data and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The BMAA is very aware of the rights of the members with regard to personal data use. We have set out our data handling and use policy in a document for members. You can download that document by following this link.
