PILOTS all over the UK and Ireland were stunned earlier this month when a strange glowing yellow object appeared in the sky.
A spot of googling revealed it to be something called the sun, not often seen in these parts, and accompanied by the trembling mercury in thermometers nationwide rising nervously to double figures and beyond.
At which point every man in the country dragged a pair of shorts out of the wardrobe and revealed to an unsuspecting world legs of such dazzling whiteness that small children ran away screaming and those who were foolish enough to look at them were rushed to hospital with temporary blindness.
The good news, however, is that it resulted in such fabulous flying conditions that we’ve got a splendid crop of entries for this month’s competition. As always, the chosen few will be in your next MF.
