BMAA Launch Open Series for 2020
The calendar pages for this years microlight open series events has been published
The BMAA website has now been updated to give all the details you will need to find out what is going on in 2020 for the Microlight Open Series. Launched fully last year the BMAA Microlight Open Series saw a range of both experienced and low hours pilots taking part in a number of fun flying weekends around the country and the new format gained a lot of positive feedback, most of which from people who had never tried such an event before
In addition to the standard weekend format where members could attend for the duration or just pick and choose what they do dependant on their available time over the weekend, we also had the week long ever popular French English friendly competition that is Franglais. 2020 sees France pick up the opportunity to host and put on a really fun week of sightseeing, friendly flying tasks and a great fun atmosphere between the two countries.
And finally this year we have another collaboration bring the Open Series a completely new venue as experienced organiser Mary Russell teams up with the members and pilots of Halfpenny Green / Wolverhampton Airport to create the perfect mix of skills and infrastructure to put on what we believe to be another great event.
Take a look at 2020's Calendar Page for all the information you need for this year and register for an event yourself, you'll never really know what the BMAA Microlight Open Series is unless you have a go. Not to mention its great way to add skills and demonstrate competency towards either the BMAA Wings Award Scheme or an FAI Colibri Award.
What are you waiting for ?
