8.33 kHz Radio Funding extended
The UK CAA has negotiated an extension to the period during which an aircraft operator may claim up to 20% of the cost of equipping with an 8.33 kHz radio.
The original funding period ended on the 31 December 2017. The funding period is now extended to the 30 September 2018.

The CAA points out that from 1 January 2019 if you carry a radio for use in flight it must be 8.33 kHz capable. This will also apply to the sporting frequencies currently on 25kHz which will be changing to 8.33kHz.
