“Flightpath to the Future”
The Government has published “Flightpath to the Future”, a 10-point strategy to deliver an innovative and sustainable aviation sector.
The report is available here and discusses General Aviation, starting on page 54. It emphasises the importance of our £4bn sector and also inspiring the next generation. It mentions airfield protection and development, including the creation of guidance for Local Planning Authorities on the importance of GA.
This report should be read in conjunction with the Government’s GA Roadmap and their clear commitment: “We want the UK to be seen as the best place in the world for aviation and this starts at the grassroots”.
We agree and we wholeheartedly support the Government’s vision!
