Flexwing Instructor Bursary

In recent years, there has been a decline in the number of instructors teaching on flexwing microlights. To encourage more instructors, we are offering to part-fund a course for a flexwing instructor.

What We Offer

A bursary of £1,000 towards the cost of a flexwing instructor course.
All bursaries are discretionary and subject to an offer being made.
The applicant is responsible for funding the remaining course fees.

Pre-Course Requirements

The applicant must hold a current pilot's licence and the licence must include a Microlight Class Rating. If your licence is NPPL it must be without Operational Limitations.
You must have flown at least 100 hours as pilot in command of an aircraft, at least 40 of which must have been in Microlights.
You must have flown for at least 5 hours as pilot in command of the type of aircraft to be used for the course (that is Weightshift, Fixed wing or Powered Parachute not particular aircraft model.)
you must pass a pre-entry ground examination and a flight test.
