Flexwing Instructor Bursary
In recent years, there has been a decline in the number of instructors teaching on flexwing microlights. To encourage more instructors, we are offering to part-fund a course for a flexwing instructor.
What We Offer
- A bursary of £1,000 towards the cost of a flexwing instructor course.
- All bursaries are discretionary and subject to an offer being made.
- The applicant is responsible for funding the remaining course fees.
Pre-Course Requirements
- The applicant must hold a current pilot's licence and the licence must include a Microlight Class Rating. If your licence is NPPL it must be without Operational Limitations.
- You must have flown at least 100 hours as pilot in command of an aircraft, at least 40 of which must have been in Microlights.
- You must have flown for at least 5 hours as pilot in command of the type of aircraft to be used for the course (that is Weightshift, Fixed wing or Powered Parachute not particular aircraft model.)
- you must pass a pre-entry ground examination and a flight test.
