WELL, you could have knocked us over with a wet lettuce here at MF Global HQ with the quality and quantity of entries for this month’s comp: 26 of them, the second highest ever, with some glorious shots ranging from sunrise in Kent to sunset in Sweden.

At 11.30pm, no less, when Swedes finally go to bed after skipping around the woods drinking vodka, wearing nothing and singing selected Abba hits.

Edinburgh transit, by John Lorains “On the way to Balado from Eshott with my son, <br>we were given a transit through Edinburgh CTR, who were very helpful,” said John, who’s based at Ince.

Ferry story, by Jon Hilton. “I took a lady recovering from cancer on a charity flight from Barton. We flew to Pilling Sands, <br>landed on the beach, then took off and shadowed this ferry for a while,” said Jon.

Heading to Spamfield, by Allan Lindsay. “Alan Boyd somewhere over England on our way to Spamfield from Newtownards in 2013,” said Allan. <br>“No GoPro or 360 involved; just a carefully composed image from a handheld digital camera.”

Heligoland, by Paul Knight “A few of us flew from various airfields in Cambridge, Essex and Norfolk, boys on a little trip to Norway, <br>and took in Heligoland on the way back, where I took this photo from my trusty Quik,” said Paul.

Skyranger at dawn, by James Alexander. “It gets bright early in Scotland, and this was taken at 5.55am waking up in the <br>bivvy bag under the wing of my Skyranger at the Glenforsa fly-in,” said James, who runs Balado airfield.
