CAA announce SERA delays

In a letter published on Friday 14 November the CAA announced that it was taking measures to enabled it to keep the current UK Rules of the Air in place after the EASA prescribed implementation date for the Standardised European Rules of the Air (SERA) of 4 December 2014.

You can read the letter here.

The effect of this action is to put on hold the proposed changes to some of the UK Rules of the Air that SERA will require until the CAA has agreed its proposed differences to the rules with EASA. At the moment we do not know when the revised regulations will come into force, but will keep the BMAA membership as up to date as we can.
