FAI World Microlight and Paramotor Championships 2016
BMAA is proud to be hosting the FAI World Microlight and Paramotor Championships 2016 at Popham airfield. Over 200 pilots from around the world will compete in this week long competition in their quest to become world champion.

Saturday 20th August - Opening Ceremony
The Opening Ceremony will start at 1100 on Saturday 20th August with the first flying tasks from 1400.  Mix with other pilots from around the world as they prepare for the competition.

There will be a trade show with traders offering exclusive discounts.  The BMAA will also be on site along with its flexwing Simulator.

Getting to Popham
By car: Popham’s postcode is SO21 3BD. Popham airfield will charge £3 for parking and access to the ceremony and spectator area is free.

By air: Popham will be very busy during the championships and you are strongly advised to contact for PPR; the airfield will close at certain times to allow for the flying tasks to take place. Check their website for news: http://popham-airfield.co.uk

Camping: Please contact Popham; they offer camping at £7.50/night. Please note: the Championships campsite (including showers) are accessible only to event wristband holders.

WMPC2016 is the largest event the BMAA has ever hosted with a whole team of BMAA volunteers working together to make it happen. Come along and show your support - and get to see some of the finest microlight flying on the planet.
