ON ON ON, chnaged to wolverhampton due to Enstone being too wet for camping. it wont be cold though 7 Feb Blimey. its hard to get 2 consecutive flying days this year. One good day or part of one good day is not enough, this event is an evening event really, held over 2 days, we dont want people to fly in and get stranded. Forecast is for warm rain! try again next week. see BMAA forum for XC weather chart roger 30 Jan - sorry, postponed again until Feb, we are all waterloged in here, more rain forecast friday and strong winds saturday and rain on sunday. We understand that from mid Feb onward the cold snap will arrive that we are waiting for! 23 Jan icicle postponed again, not my fault! crap weather forecast for the weekend and i am snowed in. try next week! 16 Jan after much debate and hours spent looking at all the weather forecasts, Icicle postponed untl 26/27 Jan. Panic not! Forecast is for 6 ins of snow on friday and low cloud on the sunday, so our frozen wings wont defrost unless we have some sun! there maybe be flyable parts of the weekend, but to expect people to fly in from all parts of the country into an airrfield under snow, with real risks of not getting out on sunday, means safety first. still plenty of weekends ahead, we;ll get a good one - we normally do. we have to tell the pub in good time.. update 9 Jan Having had a good look at the forecast, considering its still wet, mist and rain forcast for enstone on sat, and the overnight temp barely reaching zero, with some strong winds, we have decided to postpone the icicle until the 19/20 Jan. i have to let the pub and airfield know in good time The weather is begining to settle down and get cold, so a nice weekend is just around the corner! Sorry for those that mis out if this is your one weekend off, if it was the end of march i might call it on, but its still only second week of Jan and i am yet to use my deicer on the car! keep the faith!! update 2nd Jan - forecast for weekend 5/6 is very warm at 8 degrees and with many strips still waterlogged, event postponed until 12/13 Jan, lets see what the weather is doing then.
